Cookie policy

Last updated: 21 July 2026

This page explains which cookies and similar technologies the site uses, and how to change your preferences.

1. What they are

Cookies are small text files a site saves on your device to remember something between one page and the next. Other browser storage technologies, such as local storage, work the same way and the same rules apply to them.

2. What we use today

This site sets no profiling cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools. There is no third-party script following you from one site to another.

The only thing we store on your device is the choice you make on the banner: it is kept in the browser's local storage under the key binaryforge-consent and holds the categories you accepted, the version of the notice and the date. It exists so we don't have to ask again on every page. It doesn't identify you, it never leaves your browser and it is not sent to anyone.

3. The categories on the banner

The preferences panel lists three categories. The last two are there in case we switch such tools on in future: until that happens, granting or refusing consent changes nothing.

  • Necessary: they make the site work and remember this choice. Always on, and exempt from consent because without them the service you asked for cannot be delivered.
  • Analytics: they measure, in aggregate, how the site is used. Switched on only with your consent.
  • Marketing: they measure advertising campaigns and allow more relevant ads. Switched on only with your consent.

4. Changing your mind

You can reopen the preferences panel at any time with the button below or the link in the footer of every page: withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

You can also clear what the site stored directly from your browser settings. In that case the banner will appear again on your next visit.

5. Changes

If we introduce analytics or marketing tools in future, we will update this page and ask for your consent again before switching them on.
